Kaleigh and Kevin’s Garden Theater Wedding on New Year’s Eve

Some of the best weddings lately have been my couples who are finally tying the knot after the pandemic canceled their first plans! Kaleigh and Kevin originally planned to have their wedding on New Year’s Eve in 2020, and…well, you know what happened! One year later, they got to have that NYE celebration they were hoping for, with everyone they loved surrounding them!

What Does A Wedding On New Year’s Eve Look Like?

Absolutely ELECTRIC! For Kaleigh and Kevin, this was the first time that a lot of their guests were able to see each other in this kind of setting since the pandemic began. Everything from the color palette to the decor and Kaleigh and Kevin’s attire was trendy, modern, and urban chic! They had lottery tickets and party poppers as wedding favors, and a record player served as their guest book. Kevin even surprised his bride with a puppy, which was so sweet!

Blending the wedding celebration with ringing in the new year was such a unique way to celebrate marriage. Especially in light of the pandemic, everyone that came to witness Kaleigh and Kevin tie the knot was so ready to celebrate with them, to mingle with each other again, and to ring in a fresh start with 2022! For anyone picturing a winter wedding, New Year’s Eve could be the fun kind of twist you’re looking for. Kaleigh and Kevin popped champagne and had a balloon drop at midnight with all their guests.

While these two initially had a different venue in mind for their wedding and reception, they both loved the industrial feel of The Garden Theater, and it turned out to be a beautiful space! I was so excited to see them get married after their first pandemic delay. I did two beautiful engagement sessions with them, which made me feel like I was able to get to know both of them better than I might have otherwise!

Also, I have to take a moment to mention how obsessed I was with the change Kaleigh and Kevin did into their party outfits after the ceremony! It was so fitting for a New Year’s Eve wedding. Kaleigh had her stylist put her classy ceremony hair into a high pony and she put on a short, sassy dress. Kevin changed into a white suit coat, with his guys in classic black tuxes and the bridesmaids in a pretty winter blue! The aesthetic, the fun, the energy, all of it couldn’t have been more perfect.
