The Goei Center | Michigan Wedding Photographer

When Julie and Brian asked me to shoot their amazing, retro wedding at The Goei Center, we sat down over cocktails (at my fav cocktail bar!) and talked about their vision for the day. I knew immediately we were going to be a perfect fit! These two have such great style, and are so in-love. I’m all about weddings that are authentic and laid back.

Their wedding was at the most amazing venue, and they chose classic details to tie the day together and show off the natural vibe of The Goei Center. They got ready separately, and then met at the venue to say “I do”.

Both Julie’s father & brother had passed away before their wedding, so honoring them throughout the day was a big priority for the bride & groom. Julie started the walk down the aisle alone, and Brian met her half way to bring her to the aisle. It was a touching moment, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.

After the couple tied the knot, they took a party bus with their wedding party out for photos. We took some fun, celebratory pictures all together before I stole the newlyweds away from some golden hour couples portraits.

Then it was party time! These two made a grand entrance to their reception, and spent the evening dancing the night away with their friends & family. They even snuck away again after dark for some retro images with their neon sign & out on the street.

As a Michigan wedding photographer, it never gets old to capture my couple’s authentic moments on the biggest day of their lives.
